Many of us put a lot of thought into our grocery shopping trips. We check out the specials in the flyers and plan many of our purchases long before we arrive at the grocery store.

One thing we don't often take into consideration is how much garbage we will produce with our purchases.

Ferraro Foods has teamed up with the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary to put a dent into how much plastic ends up in our landfill.

We will be giving our customers the choice to purchase a reusable cloth bag that can be used again and again.

Every year Ferraro Foods gives out nearly 1.5 million plastics bags to customers, nearly all of which will eventually end up in our local landfill. By reusing a Ferraro's cloth bag, we can drastically cut that amount of garbage.

By joining forces, Ferraro's and the RDKB want to help our customers and citizens achieve our target of ZERO WASTE.
